This World is a Simulation

From the ancient sacred texts of India to the latest Matrix trilogy, a statement as counter-intuitive as it is shocking to the rational mind tells us that the outside world and everything we experience from it is really just a Simulation lived inside our own Spirit.

Just as a human would put on a virtual reality headset to join a Simulation-World via the Internet and have fun there with his friends, being represented on the spot by an avatar, so a pure consciousness experiences this Simulation via a biological suit that it puts on at birth and takes off permanently at death. By investing its attention in this biological suit, it gains access to a multi-dimensional world that is rich, changing and captivating, but fundamentally non-real. The suit provides her with a range of integrated instruments, serving as a vehicle, a cockpit and an interface for exploration. This Simulation is not experienced continuously: pure consciousness takes regular breaks during each phase of deep sleep, when it leaves its vehicle to recharge in its sphere of origin, while the latter launches its self-maintenance programs to prevent tissue deterioration.

The Clairvoyants of India, at the origin of the Vedas, called this Simulation « Maya ».

The Simulation in search of attention

Pure consciousness, although it participates fully in Simulation, remains foreign to it. It precedes its deployment and pre-exists it. It is like a witness to it: by its attentive presence, it enables and justifies its deployment.

In essence, it lies far beyond biology, the elements and their respective dimensions. Its domain, outside Simulation, is conventionally referred to as « the domain of the Real ».

The pure consciousness performing this experience of Simulation is in reality the extension of an Intermediate Consciousness, situated on a higher plane, itself an extension of an Ultimate Consciousness, One and Indivisible, whose profound nature is that of a Pure Witness. This is its intrinsic nature: to be an attentive presence, a witnessing presence, a source of attention. It is in its nature to continually project attention, sometimes directed at itself (self-consciousness), sometimes directed at a subject or object perceived by its senses.

It’s this attention that lends « life » to the various stages, sets & roles that make up the great theater stage of cosmic Maya. This attention is not insignificant: it’s pure energy, and one of the most precious there is. Pure consciousness constantly emits it, and without it, the Matrix would fade away like a dream. Attention is what consolidates it, giving it form and purpose.

What good would a Simulation be if nobody paid any attention to it? It would be like an amusement park without any visitors; or like an online video game without any connected players; or like the unique manuscript of a tale forgotten at the bottom of a drawer without a young reader to bring its fables to life.

It’s thanks to the attentive participation of pure consciousnesses that are both co-actors and co-spectators that Simulation can deploy its program, execute its code, and project a whole range of wonders to keep their attention on hold.
